Veils with headpieces start at $50 ($60 with Fresh Flowers) and are available in white, ivory, and candlelit. Headpiece designs will vary (below is just a representation). Contact me for my current stock of designs.

GV Veils was named after my two angel daughters: Gabrielle and Valeria. They both passed away as babies from a rare chromosomal condition known as Trisomy 18. They were born 2 years apart. In 2010, I felt it was time to let go of the dream of having a daughter of my own, and pour my love and creativity into making beautiful things for other people’s daughters. So my veil business was born.

My parish at the time, Saint Monica’s in Whitefish Bay, WI, was so supportive of me. Almost all the mothers of that 2010 First Communion class had me make their daughter’s veil. I was incredibly busy with the joy of creating for these little girls and then to my surprise, a miracle happened. I found out I was pregnant and yes it was a girl and yes she was healthy! My miracle daughter Adriana was born later that year and shares her middle name of Maria with her angel sisters.

The mothers from that class were so surprised and rejoiced with me! What was once my story, was now our story. I will never forget that experience of connecting with them and the power of women supporting women. The importance of connecting with my customers was how this business began and how it continues to this day.
